This, the fourth in the Night Huntress aka Cat and Bones series, was even better than the last book. Yes, there was some bone-headedness from several characters, but I loved how we got some more information about Cat's past, and how Frost adds a whole 'nother level to the series as we near the end of the book.
Wow, okay - there's a nice way to do "amnesia" - Mencheres, with the help of some spells, buries Cat's memories of when Gregor manipulated her into binding herself to him at 16.
That Cat didn't trust Bones to handle the attack, and the consequences that follow was frustrating and heartbreaking. At least Bones owned up to his own issues with being controlling and not totally forthcoming, and they come back together well before the big battle at the end.
I didn't expect Cat to go ahead and turn from half-vampire into full-vampire, but I loved that this takes the series to a whole new level with her unexpected feeding habits and how they now affect her.
I also didn't see Justina being turned by Gregor, and that just puts the icing on the cake - so many places to take the series.

Very much looking forward to reading book 5!
