I finally finished this book. It took all my willpower not to stop reading, and I only continued because I was waiting to see Jack and Laurie get into the action (I've read all of his other books with those characters up to this point). Unfortunately, that didn't happen until very late in the book, and it was so brief that it was ultimately disappointing.
